It is a medieval castle located near Staindrup in County Durham, England, covering an area of 200 acres (approximately 810000 square meters) in a deer park. Built by John Neville, the third Baron Neville, around 1367 to 1390. Cecily Neville, the mother of Edward IV and Richard III, was born here.
